Breakfast at Tia Sofia's!

Started our morning off right eating breakfast at a authentic New Mexican breakfast place on the plaza. Everyone ordered a breakfast burrito with green or red chile, some were trying it for the first time, and overall it was a hit! G Money ordered the Christmas in July, with green and red chile, a classic in New Mexico. After breakfast the crew headed down and walked around the plaza and got to see many Native Americanc who were selling beautiful handmade turquoise and silver. We all had fun in the hat store trying on different crazy hats, and afterwards we walked up to a gorgeous church and walked through a "meditation labyrinth". As we were walking around the labyrinth, I made the comment that we should sing one of those stupid crazy song from the David Bowie movie Labyrinth, and the whole gang thought it was a great idea. One lady whom we didn't know turned around and told me "There was no singing aloud in the labyrinth, it was for meditation only"! I don't think its possible for all of us to go out in public without us getting yelled out. Definitely a solid day.

What the slow movement of water does to the human spirit? Refresh's, calm's & free's! If I had to describe the effects of water on the soul I would express these adjectives. If one combines the water with friends that make the soul sing...WOW!  Warm sun mixed with moving water are an incredible combination to allow one to reach a peaceful state.

Each of my family found time and space to see this effect as we wandered down a relaxing section of the Rio Grande! Warms the soul!

Cofffeeee Makes Me Happyyy!

First Morning in Santa Fe, and starting it off right with some seriously strong coffee! Planning to head down to the plaza with the whole gang and spend the day exploring the town and the massive flea market! Then we will head down to see the Kaeck fam in Taos....pummpppeddddd!

Woke up to birds chirping, cats rallying some morning racing & tumbling & a fan blowing dry air on the bed.
Hot tea, beautiful skies & family! Let's see what Santa Fe has in store for us!

Hellllllooo Santa Fe!

 

After our 3 1/2 hour flight the Rollans-McClures landed safely in Albuquerque, New Mexico! Got hooked up with our snazzy new rental car and headed down the interstate to Santa Fe! We arrived at our good friend Susan's beautiful home to stay for the night, and were welcomed with smiling faces, delicious pizza, and a rocking hot tub! Check out the classic Southwest adobe pad: 

After a good night sleep we woke up to a gorgeous morning, very sunny and abundant with blossoming buds. It's so cool to see such different landscapes! We're off to explore Santa Fe!

Preparing for take off at The Airport Hostel and Taxi Service. This wonderful little place is run by a fantastic friend of the family, Andi Sigmon. We couldn't have made it without you!
